Both the government and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) have strongly urged Bangkokians to move their belongings to higher ground or to move out of the city. 50% of Bangkok is now inundated. Some areas have been ordered evacuation. The government has declared the emergency holidays from October 27 – 31.
