We are coming almost to the end of summer pack. The initial forecast of season ending in the middle of July may be sooner. The supply of 5,500 tons/day is now around 3,000 tons/day. The La Niña and good rainfall result in increase of supply for 2025. At present, it is forecasted to be 800k tons for 2025. Whether there would be more, we will need to observe the harvest in the last quarter.
With regards to fruit price, because of limited supply but high demand among packers, fruit price in the first half 2025 was peaked at 17.00 THB/kg. In May/June during the summer peak, fruit price has decreased to low of 10.00 – 10.50 THB/kg. But this is short lived, as now the price is heading up again and is likely to close around 12.50 – 13.00 THB/kg, setting the opening price for the winter crop.
The winter crop may start from the second half September 2025. We certainly do not wish that the crop would delay to November as in the past two years.
